Itch itch itch

I went back to the doctor today for my 6 week follow up. The last two weeks have not been as smooth as the first cycle of chemo. I started to develop neuropathies in my hands and feet. Half way through I had to come off the meds for a few days to try to reverse the side effects. It helped and the tingling in my feet and fingers went away, but the bottom of my feet and my finger tips were so sore. I had to ice my feet down a few times because they would get so sore. I started back on the meds but had to reduce my dosage. It seemed to be a bit better as I made it through the end of my treatment this past Tuesday. Another super annoying side effect has been this rash that I have that itches sooooo freaking bad. Apparently, I cannot be out in the sun without developing this rash. It is not fun.

The check up went ok, outside of wanting to rip my skin off. I am still waiting on some labs. Depending on how I feel next Tuesday, they may have me hold off on my chemo until the side effects subside. I also have to go back every 3 weeks now instead of 6, so that my doc can keep a close eye on me.

I’ll keep you updated as I find more info out. Take care. We will talk again soon.

  1. Well, Damn!! Hopefully, you’ll get a good report on the labs and get back on track. You’re in our prayers and thoughts every day!

  2. Eisheth Hayil means woman of worth. When King Lemuel wrote Proverbs 31:25 he had you in mind. Always in our prayers, always in our thoughts, always in our hearts. I invited myself for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Don’t know if your mom or dad remember. Lol. Bringing Liam. See you then πŸ™‚ love to Anson and Ed. Oh yeah, it would really be nice if Ed cooked up some more of that BBQ he made when we were down in April. :-0

  3. Hang in there Foo! There is nothing worse than constantly itching..I wish for you that it will subside NOW! I will keep you in my prayers!! You are strong and I know you will beat this! KJ
