So it dawned on me yesterday that I never followed up with everyone after my MD appointment 2 weeks ago… Oops. I’d like to blame it on the chemo, but really, I just forgot. Sorry.
The appointment went well. My labs continue to drop and get a little worse, but that is expected with chemo. They are all still “normal” levels and nothing looked too suspicious. That’s all good news. I will return on Oct 14 for CT scans to see if this is really working. That will definately be a nerve wracking day. I asked if we could just skip it, but apparently it is an important part of the process. Two things could come out of this 1) the meds are working and we carry on as long as long as possible on with the current plan. 2) the meds are not working and we have to change it up. That would mean new meds, infusions and possible hair loss. We are all going to continue to pray for option 1.
Truth is, I still feel pretty good. My pain comes and goes, but tends to go more than come. My hands and feet are hanging in there. Other than being quite dry and in need of a major pedicure, they are alright. I’ve lost some weight, but hoping to continue to maintain my new healthier weight without loosing too much. I continue to wake up every morning and thank God for today without pain and getting to experience one more day. It’s all about the baby steps, right?
Love to all.
